I would like to thank Bim Egan at the RNIB for her vital input and hard work promoting my research project to others. Without her help it is unlikely that I would have been able to produce a questionnaire which was accessible to users of screen–reading software.

I must thank all of the individuals who gave their valuable time to help raise awareness of my research; there are too many to name, but those concerned know who they are. Gratitude also goes out to the people who helped me develop my questionnaire through their involvement in the piloting stage, and of course, to the people who gave their valuable time to completing the survey.

Finally, I would like to thank my partner Jess for her understanding and patience whilst I've been working on my studies and without whom I would have never found the time nor the motivation to work so hard.
